Court Remands Two University Students In Custody For Alleged Murder

A Magistrate Court sitting in Osogbo, the Capital State of Osun, has ordered the remand of two students of Adeleke University, Ede for alleged murder of wale(deceased). The students who are in 400 and 300 level were remanded for allegedly killing Adeyemi Yusuf wale, a 200 level Computer Information System student in the institution. The two accused, Akanbi Khalid (23) who is studying public adminstration 300level and his accomplice Vera – Cruz Anthony (22) who was studying mass communiation were arraigned on Friday before Magistrate Olusegun Ayilara on two count charges bearing on conspiracy, the felony to murder. Police Prosecutor, Inspector Oladoye Joshua, told the court that the duo committed the offence on March 28, 2018 (wednesday), at about 12.30 a.m. in the school. He explained that the defendants killed Yusuf by torturing him to death. Okorocha's first son bags MSc in Mechanical Engineering from British university

Afamefula, the first son of Imo state governor, Rochas Okorocha, has graduated from Imperial College London with M.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering on Wednesday, May 3. This is coming just few days after his mum, Nneoma Dr Mrs. Rochas Okorocha bagged a doctorate degree from Imo State University, Owerri. Two suspects arrested over kidnap of school proprietor in Akwa Ibom

Police in Akwa Ibom have arrested two persons linked to the kidnapping of Sure Foundation Polytechnic founder, Dr. Idongesit Udom. The state’s Commissioner of Police, Mr. Donald Awunah, disclosed this to newsmen in Uyo  on Wednesday , adding that the suspects were helping the police in their investigations. He explained that the police were doing their best to ensure that the victim was rescued alive. "This matter does not require force since a person’s life is involved. We are not relenting in our efforts to get the man freed from the kidnappers. “The Anti-Kidnapping Squad and the Operation Impact Strategy team have spread their intelligence. Very soon, the man will be rescued.” The commissioner appealed to the public to cooperate with security agencies by always giving information on crimes and criminal elements in their neighbour-hood for prompt action.
